tech baseline management Systems Engineer

Location: El Segundo, CA & Remote Work

The Opportunity

Do you have a Tech Baseline Management Systems Engineering background? Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your technical skills to our nation’s Space Systems? If this sounds like you, come join Space Force Analytics (SFA) and a team of scientists, engineers, and space system acquisition experts that are developing the next generation of remote sensing satellite and ground systems.

  

You'll develop, integrate, and manage Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Models-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products. You'll provide technical advice to senior program managers and executives on space system, segment design & test issues to inform major program decisions. You'll perform systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews, technical evaluations, and requirements verification. You'll analyze problems, develop technical reports, make recommendations, and work with government and corporate stakeholders to implement recommended solutions. Our Mission Areas include Weather, Missile Warning, Missile Defense, and Tactical ISR Systems. The work may include 1 or 2 days per week on site and occasional travel to various contractor sites and U.S. Government installations.

You Have

  • 4+ years of experience working large-scale systems engineering, integration, and development programs
  • 2+ years of experience with performing and leading a team in the development and management of technical specifications, ICDs, CONOPS, architectural designs, and integration & test plans
  • Experience leading requirements and interface management efforts for a large program
  • Experience coordinating and presenting technical changes across large stakeholder groups through review boards, including configuration control and engineering review
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • Secret Clearance 

Nice if You Have

  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Knowledge of SPF 13-604
  • Master's degree
  • TS/SCI clearance
